Apron Swap Meme
1. First Apron (that you can remember)- I had a red Christmas apron that I wore at my grandmother's house when we baked cookies. I think I was 3 or 4. It was a half-apron with a pocket and a ruffle on the bottom. I think it had holly on it.
2. Last (most recent) apron -
I found this one last week while thrifting. A whole 10 cents! I love cute and frilly half aprons, but when it comes to actually wearing them to cook and bake, I have to have a bib-style. Messy girls need bibs.
3. Dream/Favorite apron - a bib-style that is simple, yet feminine without being too frilly. Something like this.
4. Dream Sewing Machine - A serger or an embroidery machine. Either would keep me busy for quite a while.
5. What do you put in your pockets? or What strange thing have you ever found in them? - Usually whatever I'm making ends up in the pockets and everywhere else. That and little toys I find everywhere.
6. Condiment(s) you can't live without - Salsa, Dijon mustard.
7. Do you wear more showy aprons or dutiful ones? - both
8. Favorite Cooking Gadget - this measuring cup thingy that works like a big syringe. Okay, I just looked it up, Pampered Chef calls it a MeasureAll.
9. Cooking gadget that promised the world but didn't deliver - Food chopper. The amount of energy it took to use combined with the time spent cleaning it just wasn't worth it.
10.A recipe that you know by heart and any stories behind it - Red Velvet Cake. I have my grandmother's recipe memorized. Still my favorite cake, I had one every year for my birthday until I turned 24. I've had good ones and bad ones, but granny's is still the best.
